Pumpkin Haul

Pumpkin Haul

One of my favourite things to do this time of year is to go to Trader Joes and get all of the seasonal things. Especially the pumpkin stuff. Here's my review of what I grabbed this time.

Spiced Cider

This is the best pre-made spiced cider I've ever had. I buy it every year. This makes for an amazing fall cocktail when you add whiskey to it.

Saranac Pumpkin Ale

This wasn't too bad. It's very light and definitely a fall ale. Not too much pumpkin.

Anderson Valley Fall Hornin

This stuff is great. I really like what's been coming out of Anderson Valley. It's light on the pumpkin, but very well balanced. There was a nice amount of spice. It's perfect for an LA fall because there's a lot of flavour, but it's light enough to be appealing in the heat.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie Butter

It's tastes exactly like what it is - cookie butter with pumpkin spice in it.

Ginger Cookie Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiches

Get these. Now. They are little bites of fall heaven. When it comes to pumpkin ice cream, living in San Francisco made me spoiled. My roommate and I just happened to know someone who worked at Mitchell's Ice Cream who supplied us with the most amazing pumpkin ice cream that exists on this earth. So, every time I have TJ's brand (which is still very good mind you), it just kind of falls short. But when it's paired with ginger snap cookies (and since it's TJs, it' real ginger)... it is incredible.

Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

These things are freaking addicting. They are sweet but not too sweet, packed with spices, and have a bit of salt. Of course, the secret is that they are made with butter. I wonder why they are so addicting?

Country Pumpkin Spice Granola

For those of you who have been going to TJs for deliciousness for years, this is the same granola that used to be in a plastic sealed bag. The box packaging definitely fooled me, but that's ok. It's pretty good, but I really wish it didn't have raisins in it. I like raisins just fine, but they don't seem to fit in this mix.
