Answer to Yourself

Sometimes at work, we have themes outfit days. It's silly but it's fun, and it's interesting to see how people interpret the theme differently. On this particular day, the theme was plaid.

I have maybe a little more plaid than I need, but I love the pattern. I knew I could go with a country look, or a 90s grunge look (which I am really loving right now), but I wanted to change things up. So I went for what I would call an "Oxford Look" - a flowy plaid top + really cute & comfy suede wedges. I wanted to push the envelope a bit, so I also added a plaid wood jacket. You can't see the plaid on that one too well in these pics, but I thought it worked quite nicely.

I found this song from the show Misfits. It's one of my favourite shows and everything in it is amazing, especially the music. Does anyone else find their music form good TV shows? Anyways, I felt like this outfit needed a bit of British-sounding rock (even though these guys are form San Diego). I feel like there's a bit of an authoritative vibe to this ensemble. Or maybe that's just my fiercely independent self talking.
